Obituary of Louis H. Daviau

Louis H. Daviau 1908 - 2012 WEST HARTFORD, CT- Louis H. Daviau, 103, of West Hartford and a former longtime South Hadley resident died Tuesday January 3, 2012, after a short stay in Hughes Health and Rehabilitation in W. Hartford. He was born in Quinden, Canada. He was the son of the late Lelziere and Rose (Valiere) Daviau. Louis was the owner of Daviau Painting and Decorating and was a life long member of the Painters Union Local 252. He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing and was an amateur boxer during the depression. He was predeceased by his wife Marguarite (Baribault) Daviau in 1994 and his son George L. Daviau in 2003. He is survived by his daughter-in-law, Louise Daviau of Westfield, his grandchildren, Michelle Daviau, Denise Daviau, Louis Daviau, and Diane Mercier, also his eight great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. The funeral for Louis will be held on Tuesday morning at 10 am from the Ryder Funeral Home, followed with a Funeral Mass at 11am in St. Patrick's Church with his burial to follow in Notre Dame Cemetery all in South Hadley. Calling hours will be held on Monday from 4 to 8 pm in the funeral home.
