Obituary of Lorraine-Annette Hawley

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Lorraine Annette Hawley, 82, entered into rest on Saturday, April 11, 2009. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at the Columbia Road Chapel of Elliott Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Dave Dillard officiating. Interment will take place at a later date at Inglewood Park Cemetery, Inglewood, California. She was preceded in death by her stepson, Todd Bryan Hawley. Lorraine was the beloved companion friend and wife of 36 years to her husband, John "Jack" Hawley. She was a longtime member of Warren Baptist Church, attending the Sorells-Middleton Sunday School Class. For many years she volunteered at MCG Children's Cancer Center as a clown for many appreciative children and their families. She was a true friend and a good neighbor. In addition to her loving husband Jack, she is survived by three daughters, Deborah (Arthur) Love, Mendocino, California, Linda Noreen, Oceanside, California and Katherine Elizabeth Nelson, Bellingham, Washington; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. The family will receive friends after the service on Wednesday at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, 4255 Columbia Road, Martinez, Georgia.
