Leila Gertrude "Tootsie" Jackson SPARTANBURG, SC-- Leila Gertrude "Tootsie" Jackson, 83, died on August 18, 2013 at Magnolia Manor, Spartanburg, SC. Ms. Jackson was born in Campobello, SC to Mr. Roosevelt Ellie Jackson and Mrs. Leila Jones Jackson. She was reared in the home of her grandparents Mr. Albert Jackson and Arrie Sanders Jackson. She was educated in the Spartanburg County public school. She leaves to cherish fond and loving memories four beloved daughters, Mrs. Debra Glanton (Ned) of Monks Corner, SC, Mrs. Sherry Williams of Columbia, SC, Mrs. Margaret Josephine Humphrey and Ms. Cynthia Marie Jackson both of Spartanburg, SC; one brother, Mr. Joe (Alleen) Jackson and one sister, Mrs. Gloria Jane Wilkins. She is affectionately remembered as "Grandma Tootsie" by 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Family and friends will be received at the home house, 203 Sprit Drive, Roebuck, SC 29376. Home going service will be Saturday, August 24, 2013 at 1 PM at the New Pilgrim Baptist Church, 5040 Rainbow Lake Rd., Campobello, SC 29322. Interment is in the church cemetery.
