Obituary of Lawrence-F. Weller


WELLER Lawrence F. Weller, age 93, beloved husband of the late Marjorie Hayes Weller, of Concord, N.H., died on Thursday, April 15, 2004, at the Hospice House in Concord. Born in Sebois, Maine, he was a longtime Connecticut resident before moving to Massachusetts and then to New Hampshire. Mr. Weller was a mechanical engineer, retiring after 15 years with Compo Industries of Waltham, Mass., and prior to Compo Industries, was employed in engineering for 38 years with the Singer Co. in Connecticut and New Jersey. Survivors include his devoted children and their spouses, Judith Sullivan and Roger, of New London, N.H., Mary Oldehoff and Bob, of Bradenton, Fla., Kathy Tippett and David, of Stratford, and David Weller and Betsy, of Laconia, N.H.; a son-in-law, Peter Newman of Wamer, N.H.; a daughter-in-law, Mary Weller of Milford; 22 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, Marjorie, he was predeceased by a daughter, Marjorie W. Newman; two sons, Donald H. Weller and Lawrence H. Weller; a grandson, David Tippett; and three brothers, Linwood, Fred and Norman Weller. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. directly at Our Lady of Peace Church, in the Lordship section of Stratford, with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport. Friends may call on Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Redgate-Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull.
