Kenneth W. James, 93, passed away on Friday, April 25, 2014, at Memorial Sloan- Kettering Cancer Center in New York. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at St. James Episcopal Church, 581 Valley Rd. in Upper Montclair, N.J., on Tuesday at 11 a.m. Interment will take place at Mt. Hebron Cemetery. Visitation is on Monday from 5 to 9 p.m. at the O'Boyle Funeral Home, 309 Broad St., Bloomfield. Please express condolences at www.oboylefuneralhome.com. Born in Hartsdale, N.Y., Mr. James lived in Bloomfield, N.J., for more than 50 years. On the European front during World War II, he served with distinction as a navigator in the 401st Bomb Group of the U.S. Army Air Corps. Kenneth was a graduate of Fordham University, and attained a master's degree from Columbia University. He was a business executive who retired from H. Horowitz & Sons Edition Book Bindery in Fairfield, N.J. Kenneth was an active member of St. James Episcopal Church, serving on the vestry and various other committees. As a lifelong member of the Episcopal Church, he was the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Episcopal Diocese of Newark in 2013. He was the husband of the late Katherine Schiro James; father of Edith James and her husband, R. Michael McReynolds, Loren James and his wife, Patricia, Valerie James and Douglas Pellecchia, and the late Katherine James Nonemaker. He was the grandfather of Kevin, Brett, Cortney, and Lisa, and great-grandfather of Kyle, Alyssa, Ashley, and Ryan. He was the brother of the late Sr. Edith James, Dorothy J. Olson, and Arthur E.
