Obituary of Joseph-Edward Gannon

GANNON - Joseph Edward March 13, 2009. Beloved husband of Bettyjane (nee Frank) Gannon; dear father of Mary Elizabeth Evans, Peter, Jane Carpenter, Ellen and Patrick Gannon; loving grandfather of Sara, Rachel and Brooks Carpenter and Matthew and Joshua Evans; brother of Patricia Carr and the late Gerald Gannon; also survived by many nieces, nephews and lifelong friends. Joe was a decorated Navy veteran of WW II and the Korean War and was a professional Engineer (retired from General Electric and the U.S. Federal Government). He will be interred in Arlington National Cemetery on Monday, March 30th, at9:00 AM with standard Naval Honors. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass to be held at Our Lady of Victory Basilica on Saturday, April 4th at 9:30 AM. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Our Lady of Victory Basilica or Hospice of Marion County, Florida.
