LOWELL - John J. "Jack" Kerwin, of Lowell, a Korean War veteran and a retired draftsman, died Thursday, Nov. 6, at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Boston following a short illness. He was 73.He was born in Lynn on Aug. 14, 1930, a son of the late John Thomas and Margaret (Kane) Kerwin. He attended Domenics Academy in Waltham and graduated from the former Rindge Technical High School in Cambridge.Mr. Kerwin served in the Air Force during the Korean War.Prior to retiring, he was a draftsman in the engineering field. He enjoyed painting and building miniature car and airplane models.He is survived by a daughter, Cheryl Joan Keating and her husband Stephen of Burlington; a sister, Joan R. Archambault of Lowell, four grandchildren, Eric MacDonald of Bedford, Jennifer A. Keating, Kathryn E. Keating, and Laura L. Keating, all of Burlington; an uncle, Chester Kane of Somerville; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.He was also the father of the late Lynne K. Kerwin.
