Obituary of John-Edward Parr

PARR, John Edward - April 9, 1929 - July 2, 2012 We regret to announce the passing of John Edward Parr in his 84th year. John will be remembered for his loving devotion to his family and will be greatly missed by Audrey, his beloved wife of 60 years and their children Susan (Sean Leyne), Sharon (the late Al Kukkonen), Cathy (Tim Kocher) and Debbie Parr. Grandpa will also be sorely missed by his grandchildren Matthew and Andrew Kocher, Leah and Olivia Kelly and Thomas Leyne, with whom he shared special individual relationships. John was the older brother of Margaret Smith and the late Robert Parr and was held dear by his brothers and sisters-in-law and his several nieces and nephews. John was a valued and dedicated employee of Imperial Oil Limited for 37 years, where he represented the company's marketing department in several locations across Ontario. Family and friends are welcomed to Highland Funeral Home "Scarborough Chapel", 3280 Sheppard Avenue East (just west of Warden), 416-773-0933, on Thursday, July 5, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 6, 2012 at 10 a.m. in the Chapel. Interment to follow at Highland Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
