Obituary of John-Albert Wheler

WHELER, John Albert, Q.C., LLB 58 - February 3, 1932 - March 11, 2012 John passed away peacefully at the Village of Humber Heights on Sunday, March 11, 2012 in the presence of his loving wife Margaret. John and Margaret recently celebrated 51 years of marriage. John courageously fought dementia with the support of his family. He is the proud father of Robert (Margie) and David and a loving Papa to his grandchildren, Emma, Harrison and Meredith and brother to Jim (Ruth). John received his law degree from Osgoode Hall and was a longtime member of the Ontario Municipal Board. He was a caring family man and a devoted husband who enjoyed the pleasures of golfing, curling and gardening. John won the Canadian Lawn Bowling Championship, an interest passed along by his father Jigs. A private cremation will take place with the family and a celebration of his life will be held at Lambton Golf & Country Club on Sunday, April 1, 2012 from 3-5 p.m. The family would like to thank the caring staff of the Brule wing at Humber Heights for their support.
