THOMSON, Joan G.E. (née Thompson)January 2, 1921 - August 10, 2016Passed away at Mount Sinai Hospital, Montreal, in her 96th year. Predeceased by her parents Oscar Thompson and Inez Bogue, her brothers Mortimer "Mort", Paul and Malcolm, and her husband Donald Thomson. Survived by her loving children Ian (Elisabeth) of Ottawa, the late Peter (Anne) of Liverpool, N.S., Michael (Marlene) of Moncton, N.B., Maria and Paul of Montreal. "Granny" to her cherished grandchildren: Amy and Jillian; Gerald, Lee, Donald and Bryant; Cara, Laura and Tina; and her 17 great-grandchildren: Brynn and William, Arya and Mackenzie; Mia and Adam, Peter and Jack, Elliot; Carter, Kennedy and Daisy, Shea, Harlem and Wesley, and Theo and Louis. Also survived by her many nieces and nephews. Heartfelt thank you to the palliative care team at Mount Sinai Hospital.
