Obituary of Jean-Mae Hammond

HAMMOND, Jean Mae At home in Victoria on Monday evening, 20 December 2004, the Hammond family said their goodbyes to Mum. She slipped away peacefully but far too soon. Jean will be forever remembered as the most wonderful wife to Art and the dearest mother to daughters Patti, Toni (Don), and Adrianna (Edward) and son Greg (Janine). Her youngest son Stuart passed away in 2003. Grandsons Joel and Michael will miss Gram, as will many relatives in various parts of the country, and especially her nephews and nieces in the Vancouver area. Jean nurtured an air force family across the country and overseas and made a host of friends in the process. She loved her bridge club and her many volunteer pursuits. Hers was a life well spent. She will be missed. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday January 8, 2005 at 2 pm in the upper lounge of the Royal Canadian Legion, 411 Gorge Rd (at Jutland). To Dr. J.P. White and others who attended in her final days, thank you.
