Obituary of Jean-Lowrie Halley

MUNRO, Jean Lowrie At the Queensway-Carleton Hospital, on Monday June 14, 2004 after a long illness. Daughter of the late James and Jessie Halley. Beloved wife of Don Munro. Step-mother of Margaret (John) Vandermeer, Donna (Norm) Kane and Fraser Munro (Brenda Bolander). Predeceased by sister Jessie Scott. Much loved aunt to Jean Glass (Bob) and Janet Fleming (William). She will be sadly missed by many great-nieces and nephews. Jean was a long-time employee of Charles Ogilvy's and a very active member of the Orpheus Musical Theatre Society. She took part in many shows, sang with the Choral Group and at the time of her death was Honorary President. Friends may visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street on Tuesday, June 15, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday, June 16, at 1 p.m. Interment to follow at Pinecrest Cemetery. If friends so desire memorial tributes may be made to the Alzheimers Society or Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind. The Ottawa Citizen
