Obituary of James-V. Watkins

WATKINS, James V., 88, of Mango, Fla., passed away April 28, 2008. He was born in Mango and was a lifelong resident. He was a member of Bell Shoals Church of Christ. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and he retired after 30 years with Florida Portland Cement. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Katie; son, James E. Watkins (Jennie); daughter, Gloria Rigdon (Ed); five grandchildren, Jeannie West (Ray), Teresa Morris (Greg), Earl Griffin (Alisa), David Watkins (Cheryl) and Philip Watkins (Christy); and 10 great-grandchildren, Allen, Brittany, Nathan, Samantha, Catherine, Elizabeth, Holly, Tyler, Marisa and Cecilia. A funeral service will be conducted 10 a.m. Friday, May 2, 2008, at Bell Shoals Church of Christ. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Stowers-Brandon
