FAIR, James David (Jim) It is with great sadness and loving memories that Brian (Nancy) of Kelowna and Gloria of Honolulu, son and daughter, wish to announce the passing of their beloved father, James David Fair at the age of 88. He leaves behind two wonderful grandchildren, Kirsten and Bradley, son and daughter of Brian and Nancy. Jim, born in Abbey, Saskatchewan in 1919, was predeceased by his brother, Robert Fair and his mother and father, Margaret and David. He was previously married to Betty Jean, who remained a very caring and devoted friend. Jim was a member of the Oddfellows Lodge for many years, served in the Air Force during World War II and was a longtime resident of Victoria, where he took great pride in his work as a carpenter. He was an avid sports fan who played hard and loved to coach. Jim will always be remembered and honored as a kind and caring man by all who knew him. Special thanks to the staff at John Alfred Manor and James Bay Lodge for their compassionate care, and to our Mom who was always there for us. A Celebration of Jim's Life will be held at MCCALL BROS. FLORAL CHAPEL, Johnson & Vancouver Streets, on Saturday, March 29, 2008 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, the family would very much appreciate donations to be sent to the First Open Heart Society of B.C., 2205 Shakespeare Street, Victoria, BC, V8R 4G2 in the name of James D. Fair. Condolences may be offered the family at www.mccallbros.com 454306
