Obituary of John-J. Zimmermann

John J. Zimmerman, age 83, died Wednesday, July 23, 2003 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital in Torrington, CT. Mr. Zimmermann was a resident of Litchfield, CT. He was born in West New York, NJ on September 23, 1919, the son of John and Anna Dolan Zimmermann. John served in the US Army during World War II. Prior to his retirement, he was a composer and musician for MZH Music in New York City. After retiring, he did volunteer work, driving senior citizens in Washington Depot, CT. John is survived by sons Marc (MaryJane) Zimmermann of Corlandt Manor and Douglas (Tina) Zimmermann of Danbury; also daughters Jane (Jim) Paisley of Washington, CT and Nance Kapitan of Pritchardsville, SC. Five grandchildren also survive. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Jean Langan. There will be a Graveside Service on Monday at 11 AM at Rose Hills Memorial Park.
