Obituary of John Fagan

->John Gregory Fagan, Sr. LAWRENCE, MA – John Gregory Fagan, Sr. (Jack), 81, formerly of Troy, died Tuesday, November 4, 2014, after a long illness. Born in and a long term resident of Troy, he was the son of the late Kathryn Smith and William J. Fagan. He was the beloved husband of the late Sheila B. Fagan, cherished father of Mickey Lerow and her husband Robert of Lakewood Ranch, FL, Susan Smith and her husband Roger of Atkinson, NH, Erin Hennessy and her husband John of Alpharetta, GA, Kate King and her husband Don of Crofton, MD and John G. Fagan Jr. and his wife Michele of Nashua, NH. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Marge Whalen and Kay Westcott and his brothers Don, Bill. He was also a loving and generous Pa to his 10 grandchildren and uncle to many nieces and nephews. Jack graduated from Catholic Central High School in 1951 and Mount St. Mary’s, Emmetsburg, MD in 1954. He served in the US Army from 1954 - 1956. Jack was active in youth hockey and a friend of the RPI hockey program, where he was often found in the penalty box. For years he and his family skied throughout New England where Jack volunteered as a Ski Patrol member. They also enjoyed many wonderful family times at Lake George and Cape Cod. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Monday from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the Our Lady of Victory Church in Troy, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow the Mass at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Troy.
