Obituary of Hugh-David Owen

Funeral services for Mr. Hugh David Owen, 63, of Oxford, will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 25, 2012, at Chapel Hill Funeral Home with the Rev. Daniel Harper officiating, with burial to follow at Edgemont Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Mr. Owen passed Monday, November 19, 2012, at his residence. Mr. Owen is survived by his sons, Tommy and David Owen; brother, Richard Wayne (Janice) Owen; and lots of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Mr. Owen was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County where he had been employed with B.R. Williams and Union Foundry, he was also an avid Alabama Football fan. Mr. Owen was preceded in death by his wife, Connie Owen; parents, Oliver Hugh and Ruby Owen; sister Joyce Owen Kilpatrick, and Danny Owen.
