Obituary of Henry Haley

HALEY Henry "Hank" Haley, age 72, husband of Helen Young Haley, of Krakow Street, Derby, died on Monday, July 28, 2003, at Yale-New Haven Hospital. He was born on February 5, 1931, in Mexico , Maine, son of the late Harry and Phoebe Haley. A winner of many fiddling contests, he was a member of the Connecticut Old Tyme Fiddlers Club. He was also a black belt in Tae Kwan Do. In addition to his wife, Helen; he is survived by his daughter, Jeanine Russo; one grandson, Daniel Russo of Orange; four sisters, Pearl Zdanowicz, Alieen Provenzano, Bernice Tomchek and Kathleen Faye DeLuca; two brothers, Garfield and Roy Haley; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one sister, Theresa Smith; one brother, Vernon Haley. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, at 9 a.m. from the Jenkins-King Funeral Home, 12 Franklin Street, Ansonia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. from St. Jude Church of Derby. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Ansonia.
