Obituary of Helen-Susanne Quinlan

LAURIN, HELEN SUSANNE "Sue" Passed away at the Royal Victoria Hospital on Thursday April 21, 2005 at the age of 62 years, of Barrie. Sue was the cherished wife and sweetheart of Edward (Si) Laurin for 44 years. She was a devoted and much-loved mother, mother-in-law and grandmother and will be greatly missed by son Steven, his wife SuEllen and their children Brayden and Mickenna of Snow Valley, and by son Scott, his wife Tammy and their children Mitchell and Matthew of Barrie. The grandchildren will surely miss the fun times and treats they enjoyed with their special Nana. Sue was the loving daughter of Dorothy Quinlan of Midland and the Late William Quinlan. She will be fondly remembered by brothers William Quinlan and his wife Mary Jane of Meaford, John Quinlan and his wife Katie of Alliston, and by sisters Mary Jones and her husband Randy of Waubaushene, and Penny Jensen and her husband John of Innerkip. Sue will be lovingly remembered for her devotion to family, loyalty to friends, and lifelong love of reading. The family wishes to extend its heartfelt thanks to Dr. Valerie Rapson, Dr. Henry Stefanision, Dr. Bryn Pressnail, RVH staff and family friends for their care, compassion and support during difficult times. The family will receive friends at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 170 Steel Street, Barrie on Tuesday April 26th, from 1pm until the time of the Celebration of Sue's Life at 2pm. Following the service a reception will be held in the Fellowship Hall of Westminster. Arrangements entrusted to the COLDWATER FUNERAL HOME, Coldwater, (705-686-3344). If so desired, donations in Sue's memory to The Royal Victoria Hospital "Cancer Care Centre", Westminster Presbyterian Church or The Barrie Literacy Council would be appreciated by the family.
