Obituary of Helen Gates

GATES, HELENHelen Gates died March 24 of age related causes. She was 88. Helen was born July 20, 1916 in Suffern, NY to Admiral and Olive Nelson. A long time resident of Rockland County Helen married Everett Gates in 1938 and moved to Monsey. She worked for Atlantic Microfilm of Spring Valley and later moved with the company to Rhode Island and later to California. After retiring she moved back to the Rockland County area until her move five years ago to Oregon. Helen is survived by her three children Bruce of Springfield, OR, Douglas of Westwood, NJ and Jacquelyn of Raytown, MO. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Inurnment will be in the Brick Church Cemetery in Rockland County.
