Obituary of Henry Hammons

Henry HammonsBirminghamHenry Hammons, 79, of Birmingham, passed away Thursday, July 22, 2010. He was preceded in death by his son, Mark Henry Hammons; and son-in-law, John Thomas Poore. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Jo Hammons; daughter, Pat Poore; brother, Eddie Hammons (Shirley); grandchildren, Heather Poore, Hollie Poore, Megan Hammons, Madison Hammons; and great-grandchildren, Breanna Poore, Marley Poore, and Macey Poore. Henry served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a member of First Baptist Church of Center Point for over 50 years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.Funeral will be today, July 25, 2010, at 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Center Point with Bro. Bobby Earls officiating and Ridout's Trussville Chapel directing.
