Obituary of Francis-John Payne

PAYNE, Francis John “Frank“ July 21, 1929 - January 18, 2009 - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Francis “Frank“ John Payne, who passed away at home, in the presence of his family, on Sunday January 18, 2009. Beloved husband of the late Nora Bernice. Dear father of Linda, Terry, Donna, Deborah, Darlene, Glenn, and Dale. Loving grandfather of 18 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Brother of Alice, Bill, and Charles. Predeceased by his sisters Elsie, Irene, Shirley, and Brenice; and by his brothers Gordon, Earl, Garnet, and Glenn. Frank will be dearly missed by all of his family and friends. The family will receive friends at the DOOLITTLE CHAPEL OF CARSON FUNERAL HOMES, 54 Coldwater St. E. Orillia, (705) 326-3595, on Friday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 pm. A funeral service will be celebrated in the chapel on Saturday January 24, 2009 at 2 o'clock. Interment will take place in the spring at St. Andrew's - St. James' Cemetery, Orillia. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the Soldiers' Memorial Hospital or the Salvation Army. The family would like to extend a special thanks to family friend Una Wallace. Members of the Independent Order of ODD Fellows Geneva Lodge 320 Orillia are asked to gather for a memorial service Friday evening at 6:45 pm.
