Obituary of Francis-Henry Haley

March 8, 2009 Francis Henry Haley, 86, of Syracuse, passed away Sunday at Loretto Cunningham. Born in Syracuse, July 9, 1922, Francis graduated from the old Central High School. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Ohio State University in 1944. He was a 40- year resident of New York City, where he retired from the New York City Housing Authority in 1985. During his career with the NYCHA, he received several outstanding achievement awards. Francis was an active member and benefactor of the Ohio State Alumni Club in Columbus, OH. He was predeceased by his brother, Jack, of Indianapolis and his sister, Marilyn, of Syracuse. Survivors: a cousin, Ellen Haley Hurd, and a nephew, William (Pacy) Hurd of Westvale.
