Family-Placed Funeral Notice ELEANOR L. WHEELER Eleanor L. Wheeler, age 92, of Delray Beach, Florida and formerly of Huntington, New York, died on Wednesday, May 30 at Harbour's Edge Health Care Center in Delray Beach. Born in Woodhaven, N.Y. and raised in Bellerose, N.Y., she was the daughter of William and Margaret Liesenbein, and the wife of the late Alfred H. Wheeler. Eleanor was a graduate of Sewanhaka High School and Adelphi University. Upon receiving her M.A., she taught kindergarten for South Huntington Public Schools and retired in 1972. Eleanor pursued various hobbies, including collecting antiques, traveling, and gardening. Eleanor volunteered her time to the Huntington Historical Society, the Huntington Garden Club, the Community Food Bank, and the Old First Presbyterian Church of Huntington. Surviving are her three daughters; Nancy Graham of Brewster, Mass., Sara Brush of Port Jefferson, and Elizabeth DeLucia Pawelczak of Hamilton, NJ, son-in-laws, Malcom Graham, Richard Brush, and Michael Pawelczak six grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, two nieces, and a nephew. A memorial service will be held at Old First Presbyterian Church, Huntington, NY on June 7 at 11:30 AM.
