Obituary of Evelyn-P. Haines

Memorial service for Evelyn P. Haines, 91, Barhydt Avenue, Port Orange, who died Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2005, at Hospice House, New Smyrna Beach, will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, at First United Methodist Church, Port Orange, with the Rev. Kim Joiner officiating. Mrs. Haines was born in New Castle, England, and moved to this area in 1972 from Parkersburg, W.Va. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Port Orange. She was an organizer with the Girl Scouts and scout leader. She was also a trainer for other leaders. She was an avid golfer and also an organizer for the Teenage Golf Association, Parkersburg, W.Va. She enjoyed bike riding. Survivors include her daughter, Penny Cooper, Titusville; cousins, Linda Gibson, Jacksonville, John Potts, Marietta, Ohio, Bill Potts, London, England, Sheila Johnson, Vienna, W.Va., Thelma O'Neal, Vienna, and Irene Biddle, Williamstown, W.Va.
