Obituary of Evelyn-M. Welden

Evelyn M. Welden, 86, Sarasota, died March 8, 2006. She was born Oct. 19, 1919, in Baltimore and came to Sarasota from there in 1977. She was a school crossing guard with the Sarasota County Sheriff's Department and had worked for the Baltimore County School Board. She was a Lutheran. Survivors include daughters Joyce Startt of Westminster, Md., and Joan Wissman of Manchester, Md.; a son, Walter Jr. of Sarasota; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Palms Memorial Park. Robarts Funeral Home is in charge. Memorial donations may be made to All Faiths Food Bank, 717 Cattlemen Road, Sarasota, FL 34232.
