Obituary of Ernest-William Newman

NEWMAN, Ernest William (Ernie) - Peacefully, with family by his side, on Tuesday, April 27, 2010, at the Joseph Brant Hospital, Burlington, at the age of 88. Beloved husband of the late Bernice. Loving father to Barbara Simpson (Bob), Brenda Callen (Bill) and Bev Callen (Stephen). Cherished Papa to Jen, Kerri, Marnie, Becky, Michael and the late Mark. Proud Great-Papa to Fynnigan and Penelope. Dear brother of the late Fred and Bessie. Ernie was a WWII Veteran with Irish Regiment of Canada and was a 40 year driver with the TTC/Gray Coach Lines. Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Butler Chapel, 4933 Dundas St. W., Etobicoke (between Kipling and Islington Aves.) on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Monday, May 3, 2010 at 11 a.m. Interment Park Lawn Cemetery. If desired, remembrances may be made to CNIB or the Canadian Cancer Society.
