WATERVILLE -- Emile E. Carreau, 49, of Waterville passed away early Thursday morning, June 2, 2005, at his home. He was born in Bridgeport, Conn., on Aug. 2, 1955, the son of Ernest and Bernadette (Gallant) Carreau. Emile "Emo" attended Winslow public schools and was an avid member of the Waterville Social Club. Emo did community service for the Salvation Army in Waterville. Emo was always willing to give a helping hand to the local community and friends. He was predeceased by his parents and his loving wife, Nina (Fontaine) Carreau. He is survived by two brothers, Leo Paul and his wife, Barbara, of Lexington, N.C., and Andrew Carreau of Waterville; a sister, Gerene Petrucci of Waltham, Mass.; five nephews, Ernest and Eric Carreau of Winston Salem, N.C., and Michael, Joseph and Steven Petrucci of Hyde Park, Mass.; and a niece, Caitlyn Carreau of Winslow. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, June 4, at Lawry Brothers Funeral Home, 107 Main St., Fairfield. At the request of the family, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Waterville Social Club, 32 Ticonic St., Waterville, ME 04901.
