Obituary of Elizabeth Jamieson


JAMIESON, Elizabeth (Betty) In hospital on Tuesday, March 25, 2003, Elizabeth Florence Margaret Jamieson. Born April 20, 1922, she was the beloved daughter of Alexander Stuart and Florence Winslow MacKenzie. Treasured sister of Janet Roy and Gilbert Jamieson (Barbara). Much loved aunt of Nancy Coe (Martin), Alison and Marion Roy, Scot, Bruce, Anne Jamieson and proud great-aunt to Amanda and Andrew Coe. Graduate of the Montreal General Hospital (1948) and Boston Lying-In Hospital (1958). She has nursed at the Riverside and Civic Hospitals, Ottawa and the Queensway Clinic, London, Eng. She was a dedicated member of Knox Presbyterian Church, the Ottawa Horticultural Society and a longtime subscriber to the National Arts Centre. She has travelled the world, from the Golden Palace in Moscow, to the Great Wall of China and the South Seas; Fiji, Tonga, Australia and New Zealand. Friends may attend a Memorial Service at Knox Presbyterian Church 120 Lisgar Street on Friday, March 28, 2003, at 1:30 p.m. For those wishing donations to Knox Church Restoration or Music Fund would be appreciated. Arrangements in care of the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry.
