MANDEVILLE, Edward Frank Louis July 8, 1935 - April 21, 2009 With hearts full of treasured memories we the family announce the passing of Ed at the age of 73. Ed will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his Dad Archie, four brothers, Lawrence (Sally), Lloyd (Graciela), Greg (Verna), Bobby, five Sisters, Edna (Doug Lorenzen), Margaret (Peter Powder), Maureen (Bill Gowans), Dorothy, Donna (Darcy) and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Ed was born in Fort Resolution. In his early days he had a number of firsts such as the first Queen Scout award in the Northwest Territories and was also awarded the first NWT Technical award while attending SAIT. Ed was very active in the Cadet Movement and attended Camp in Vernon, B.C. He enjoyed being an active member of the BPOE Elk and was a lifetime member with that organization. Ed had his private pilot's license and was an active member of the Mine Rescue and First Aid. The family thanks the medical and nursing staff at the Sturgeon Hospital for their expert and thoughtful care throughout Ed's illness. A Prayer Service and Viewing will be held at 95 Salisbury Avenue, St. Albert on Saturday, April 25, 2009 from 6:00 p.m. to midnight. Funeral Services will be held at St. Albert Catholic Church, 7 St. Vital Avenue, St. Albert on Monday, April 27 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Ed's memory may be made to BPOE Elks St. Albert Branch.
