Obituary of Donald-Augustus Wilson

Don Augustus Wilson died Wednesday, May 14, 2008. He was born Feb. 24, 1937, in Crescent City, Fla. to Eunice Irene (Turner) Wilson and Joseph Roosevelt Wilson, Sr. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Roosevelt Wilson, and two brothers, James Osgood Wilson and Joseph Roosevelt Wilson, Jr. He is survived by his mother, Eunice Irene Wilson; brothers, Clyde Eugene Wilson, Rodney Johnson and Henry Wilson; sisters, Caroline Shine and Emma Ross; daughter, Dianne Wilson; stepdaughter, Linda Valdez; and three grandsons, Richard Christopher Valdez, Ryan Charles Valdez and Robert Christopher Valdez. Don was married twice. His first wife was Clara (married 196?) and his second wife is Patricia (married 1978). Don served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. He has been blessed with many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Memorial service to be held Monday, May 19, at 11 a.m. at New Bethel AME Church, Howry Ave., DeLand.
