Obituary of Denise O'malley

NORTHPORT, N.Y. Denise (Colyer) O'Malley, 51, of Northport, N.Y., formerly of Southborough, died on July 13, 2008. Denise was a proud teacher of the blind for 28 years at BOCES of Western Suffolk. She was the loving wife of 28 years to Michael O'Malley; devoted mother of Michael, Sean, Bryan, and Kevin; beloved daughter of Carmen Colyer and the late William Colyer. Denise leaves behind four sisters, Cookie Colyer, Diane Turco, Ellen Kaiser and Judy Nicholas, who loved and adored her. She was the cherished daughter-in-law of Edward O'Malley and the late Joan O'Malley; dear sister-in-law of Jim, Maureen Glackin, Kathy OGrady, Patti Amato, Bill, and Dan, and fond aunt of 21 nieces and nephews. Visiting hours at the Nolan and Taylor-Howe Funeral Home, 5 Laurel Ave., Northport, N.Y., are on Wednesday, July 16, from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday, July 17, from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral Mass will be on Friday, July 18, at 10 a.m. in St. Philip Neri Church, Northport.
