Obituary of David-L. Jordan

OLEAN - David L. Jordan, of 116 Niagara St., passed away Friday (July 19, 2013) at The Pines Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Olean after a long illness. Born May 10, 1936, in Olean, he was the son of Guy and Helen Yardman Jordan. On Feb. 11, 1955, at St. Mary of the Angels Church in Olean, he married Lorraine Mendell, who survives. Mr. Jordan served in the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1958. He worked for many years as a construction worker at the Local Union 621. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and other outdoor activities. In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children; nine grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a sister; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three brothers.At Mr. Jordan's request, there will be no funeral services.Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Casey, Halwig and Hartle Funeral Home Inc., 3128 W. State Road, Olean.
