CARR, DAVID DOUGLAS David Douglas Carr passed away peacefully on January 22, 2008 at Vernon Jubilee Hospital in Vernon, BC after a six month battle with lung cancer. Predeceased by his parents: Harold Francis Herbert Carr and Edna Elizabeth Carr (Currier) of Oromocto, New Brunswick and nephew Geoffrey Carr. He will be sadly missed by his wife Leona, children: Beverly (David), Patricia (Henry), Michael (Krissy), Linda; grandchildren: Tanis (Jeremy), Chantel (Travis), Christopher, Meghan Matthew (Brittany), Laura, Joslyn, Kelly, Stormy, Bryan; his brother Lowell (Mavis); and several great-grandchildren, aunts, nieces, and nephews. He was born on May 17, 1933 in Oromocto, New Brunswick. In his early years, he was a lumber truck driver and a member of the Canadian Navy where he traveled the world and earned his electrical ticket. In 1973, he moved his family to Mackenzie, British Columbia where he passed his love of the outdoors onto his family. Many weekends were spent camping, fishing, and hunting. He worked in the pulp mills of Mackenzie, BC as an electrician before retiring to McLeod Lake, BC and Lumby, BC. No service by request. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in lieu of flowers. He will be greatly missed by friends and family. February 08, 2008
