Obituary of D. -Barry Anderson

ANDERSON, D. Barry Passed away after a brave fight with cancer at Lions Gate Hospital on April 19, 2010 at the age of 76. Barry was born on August 17, 1933 in Winnipeg, Manitoba and came to BC in 1973. Deeply mourned and forever cherished by wife Shirley and her family; brothers Brian (Betty); Mike (Laura) and their families. Barry retired from Capilano Salmon Hatchery after many years of dedicated loyal service. Barry was an avid gardener and spent many summer days with Shirley tending to their bountiful crops at B.A.R.A.G.A. Barry was passionate about trains and enjoyed many hobbies, including painting, hand wood carving, and making preserves from the garden fruit. Barry was a kind gentle man and will always be remembered for his quiet intelligence. The family is grateful to the professionalism shown by all those who administered care in the past month to Barry. We will all miss him greatly.
