Obituary of Cecil-D. Patterson

Cecil D. Patterson, 73, of LaFollette, formerly of North Branch, Mich., died Jan. 2.Cecil was born in Gadsden, Ala., on July 13, 1940. He married Rachel Anderson on December 24, 1960, in Pontiac, Mich. He was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who loved spending time with his family. He worked for General Motors for 30 years before retiring in 1994. He was a member of Local #594.He was preceded in death by his mother, Annie Ruth Alverson; grandparents, Johny and Gertie Patterson; son, Jerry Dewayne Patterson; three brothers and one sister.He is survived by his wife, Rachel Raye; children, Teri Patterson, Randy Patterson, Denise and Matt Whitt, Kelly and John LaLonde; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother, David and Mary Patterson; sister, Doris Mounce; many nieces and nephews.Visitation will be Jan. 10 at 10 a.m. at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison.Funeral services will follow at 11 with Pastor Josh Combs officiating.Interment will be in Christian Memorial Cemetery.Allen Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
