Obituary of Catherine-Haw Thomas

Catherine Haw Thomas, 83, Sarasota, died Oct. 28, 2003. She was born Aug. 18, 1920, in Richmond, Va., and came to Sarasota from there in 1961. She was a homemaker and a member of Sarasota Garden Club- Palm Circle, Crowley Museum and Nature Center and the Navy League Sarasota Chapter. She was a Presbyterian. Survivors include a daughter, Catherine V. of Sarasota; a son, George W. III of Roswell, Ga.; a sister, Ruth White of Mechanicsville, Va.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Burial will be in Barrancas National Cemetery, Pensacola. Wiegand Brothers Funeral Home is in charge.
