Obituary of Carol-Wayne Williams


Carol Wayne Williams BUFFALO, SC-- Mr. Carol Wayne Williams, age 71, husband of Brenda Cargill William, of 118 Dana Tara Lane, Buffalo, passed away, Friday, March 9, 2012, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Mr. Williams was born in Union, February 7, 1941, a son of Rev. Boyd William of Union and the late Gertrude Ivey Grant. He was a graduate of Union High School and was retired from the City of Union having worked as a supervisor in the gas department. Mr. Williams was a mason and a member of the Steel Guitar Association. He was a member Hillside Baptist where he served as a Deacon. Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Kathy Woods and husband Randy; a son, Robert Wayne Williams and fiancee Sherri McCutcheon all of Buffalo; a sister, Brenda Baker and husband Ralph of Union; two brothers, Jimmy Dean Williams and wife Diane of Buffalo and Charles Robert Williams of Union; 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Monday, March 12, 2012, at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. Dewayne Reuter. Burial will be in Union Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 PM Sunday evening, March 11, 2012, at the Buffalo Opry House, 118 Dana Tara Lane, Buffalo.
