Obituary of Carl Sargent

Carl Francis Sargent 1937-2012 Carl Francis Sargent, 74 of Lake Panasoffkee, Fla., passed away on January 29, 2012. Carl was born in Brattleboro, Vt., on April 17, 1937, the son of the late Stephen Sargent and Vera Robbins. He graduated from BHS in 1956, served in the Army and worked for Johns Manville, where he retired in 1999. He is survived by his significant other Gladys B. Yates of Lake Panasoffkee, Fla., daughters; Cindy Rose of Brattleboro, Linda Brookes of Brattleboro and Alanah Cowie of Aberdeen, Md., son, Ronald and Lori Sargent of Brattleboro, Sister Harriette and the late Richard Walsh of Vernon, brothers Stephen and Pat Sargent of Newfane and Norman and Cathy Sargent of West Brattleboro. He was predeceased by a brother Bob Sargent. He leaves eight grandkids, and five great grandkids. A remembrance gathering will be held at The Newbrook Fire station on Sunday February 5th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his name to The Newbrook Fire Department in Newfane, Vermont.
