ObituaryCARL HENRY WILLIAMSONITHACA - Carl Henry Williamson, 72, of 74 Shudaben Road, Ithaca, died Monday, November 22, 2004, at the VA Medical Center in Canandaigua. Born April 16, 1932 in Jersey Shore, PA, he was a son of the late Raymond and Mae Showers Williamson.Mr. Williamson received an honorable discharge from the US Army, having served from 1951-54. Prior to his retirement, he had been employed as a mechanic for 31 years at the former army depot in Romulus. He was an avid hunter.Mr. Williamson is survived by his wife of 50 years, Janice Fowler Williamson; children, Stephen (Diane) Williamson of Trumansburg, Michael (Sandra) Williamson of Lansing, Edward (Laurie) Williamson of Newfield, Kevin (Julia) Williamson of Lansing, Edward (Laurie) Williamson of Newfield, Kevin (Julia) Williamson of Weedsport, Christine (Glenn) White of New York City; ten grandchildren; sister, Helen (Rick) Dunbar; and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his dog and faithful companion, "Lady". In addition to his parents, Mr. Williamson was predeceased by his brothers, Robert, Kenneth, James and Raymond Williamson.Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, November 26, at the E.C. Wagner Funeral Home of Ithaca, officiated by Rev. Billie Jean Melton and the ritual team of Finger Lakes Post 961 VFW. Friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Assn. of CNY, American Heart Assn., or Jacksonville Community United Methodist Church.
