Obituary of Brian Thomas

DEVEREUX - Brian Thomas, at the young age of 50, on January 7th after a long and hard struggle fighting an illness. Brian was a loving and devoted husband to his wife Elizabeth (Beth) Devereux (nee Monteleone) for 16 years. A devoted and exceptional father to his son Mark, 12 years old. Survived also by his mother-in-law Liz Monteleone, who considered him her own son. Brian was a loving brother to Patrick, James, John and Kevin Devereux and to his sisters Lillian Muscedere, Kathleen Takacs and Maureen Gribbon and his many dear brothers and sisters-in-law. Steve Takacs, Rob Muscedere, Joseph Gribbon, Elyse Devereux, Janice Devereux, Joann Devereux, Fern Devereux. Brian was also a much admired uncle to 21 nieces and nephews and two great-nephews. Brian was an employee for 16 years of LIPA/KEYSPAN Energy where he made many devoted and loved friends. Brian had touched many lives during his short 50 years and was always happy to help any friend or family member. He considered all of his friends part of his extended family. He will be greatly missed and may God bless his soul as he now has become an angel to all of us. Religious Service 8pm Friday.
