Brenda AndersonJuly 31, 1923 - December 21, 2013It is with deep sadness the family of Brenda Anderson announces the loss of our beloved mother. She died peacefully in her sleep at City Hospital in Saskatoon. Brenda is survived by her two daughters, Barbara ( Bobbie) Taks and Valerie Anderson (Dean Yardley) both of Saskatoon; her brother Eric Riley of Stockton, England; her four grandchildren Donna Cates of Tofino, Chris (Roujea) Cates of Edmonton, Jason Obed of Saskatoon, and David Obed (Nadine) of Saskatoon; and great grandchildren, Ricky, Devon, Bryton, Zachary, Dawson, Anna and Issac. And numerous nieces and nephews. Brenda was predeceased by her parents Adam and Eleanor Riley of Stockton, England; her brothers Adam and Burt Riley; and her husband of 51 years, Alvin Anderson. Brenda was born in Stockton, England on July 31, 1923. She courageously survived WWII and met her husband, Alvin, before moving to Canada in 1946. Brenda's passion was her family, painting, and spending time at her cottage at Emma Lake. She will be remembered for her endearing smile, her quick wit, and her contagious humour. In lieu of flowers donations to the Canadian Heart & Stroke foundation. The funeral service will be held at Zion Lutheran Church (323 - 4th Avenue South) on Friday, December 27, 2013 at 1:00pm by Pastor Randy Meissner. Arrangements are entrusted to Saskatoon Funeral Home. 306-244-5577
