Obituary of Bernice Williams

DUNPHY, BERNICE The death of Bernice Dunphy of Coaldale AB, beloved wife of 53 years of Marvin Dunphy, occurred at hospital in Lethbridge AB on March 15, 2004. She was the daughter of the late Sarah F. (McDonald) Williams and stepdaughter of L. Patrick Williams. Bernice graduated from Teachers College, taught briefly in Boiestown but spent the majority of her career in Stanley. She was a member of the St. Thomas Anglican Church Womens Auxiliary, Ward Settlement Womens Institute, and was very well known for her crafts. Besides her husband and step- father, Bernice is survived by her sons David (Pat) of Fredericton, Tim (Bette) of Calgary AB, Tony (Mindy) of Vauxhall AB, and Rob (Michele) of Whitecourt AB; daughters Debbie (Alfie) of Fredericton and Lisa of Fredericton; 15 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; brothers Bob, John, Billy, Danny and Bernard; sisters Patsy, Kay, Theresa, Debbie, Liz, Judy and Eileen; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home on Friday from 7 PM to 9 PM. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at the Saint Thomas Anglican Church in Stanley at 2 PM. Rev. Ranall Ingalls will officiate. Interment will take place at the Saint Thomas Anglican Cemetery, Stanley, at a later date.
