Obituary of Barbara-Joan Henderson

HENDERSON, Barbara Joan, 59, passed away Thursday, November 25,2010, at her home. She was born June 29, 1951, to William Henry and Edith Mae (Church-well) Retherford in Dade City, Fla. She was a medical records coder, member of the New Hope Baptist Church, a resident of Highlands County since 1963, coming from Panama City Beach, Fla., and a resident of Wauchula, Fla., since 1973. She is survived by her husband, Wayne M. Henderson of Wauchula; daughters, Karen Pella (Louie) and Kim Barber (Allen) both of Zolfo Springs, Fla.; mother, Edith Mae Harford (Bob) of Sebring, Fla.; brothers, Billy Retherford of Lake Placid, Fla., and Dennis Retherford of Sebring; sister, Carol McCullough (Neal) and Connie Hancock both of Avon Park, Fla.; grand-children, Jara Ann, Kayle, Tyler, Jacey, Josh, Alyssa and Klae; and great-grand-children, Clint, Brayson and Bryson. A graveside service will take place at 1 p.m. Tuesday, November 30, 2010, at New Hope Cemetery in Wauchula. Visitation will take place 6-8 p.m. Monday, November 29, 2010, at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home in Sebring.
