THOMAS, BARBARA S., 66Gainesville - Barbara Sue Thomas, 66, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, March 12, 2013. Barbara was born in Trenton, FL, but spent all of her life in Gainesville, FL. Barbara attended Lincoln High School. Survivors include children, Donna Lynn Anthony, Gainesville, FL, Princess Broomfield, Atlanta, GA, Leveern Tucker, Gainesville, FL, Melvin Johnson, Jr., Ft. Hood, TX, Neferteri L. Banks, Atlanta, GA; four sisters Mable Crawford, Archer, FL, Martha Miller, Gainesville, FL, Mary Edwards (Mack) Gainesville, FL, Princess Simmons, Hempstead, NY; 12 grandchildren, and one great grandchild. Funeral Services for Ms. Thomas will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, March 23, 2013 at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Dr. N. Lamont Newsome, Host Pastor, Rev. Mack Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in. St. Johns Cemetery Fairbanks under the care of Chestnut Funeral Home 18 N.W. 8th Ave., Gainesville, FL.
