Obituary of Audrey Anderson


Audrey Anderson (Spurgeon) 1924 2004 _ Audrey passed away peacefully at Royal University Hospital on Wednesday, October 27, 2004. Audrey was born in Saskatoon and attended King George School and Bedford Road Collegiate. She served in the Royal Canadian Navy during World War II. Then she worked at McKenzie Auto where she met Russ, her husband of 57 years. Audrey will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Russ; sons, Bob (Bev) and Rick (Sandy); grandchildren, Carolyn (Vic) and Chris; brother, Bob Spurgeon (special friend Justina) and sister-inlaw, Elsie Spurgeon; Russ's brothers, Cliff (Betty), Morris (Betty) and Al (Joan); numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Audrey was predeceased by her mother and father, Jane and Robert Spurgeon; sister, Joan (Haus); brother, Cliff; and Russ's brother, Ray (Marj). The Funeral Service will be held at Zion Lutheran Church (323 Fourth Avenue S, Saskatoon SK) at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 30, 2004, Pastor Boyd Molder presiding. Guest parking is available at McKague's Funeral Chapel. Cremation. A private family interment will follow at First Saskatchewan Lutheran Church Cemetery. In memory of Audrey, and in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Saskatoon Bone Research Foundation (Suite 103 39 23rd Street East, Saskatoon SK, S7H 0H6) or to a charity of your choice. Arrangements are entrusted to John Janex of McKAGUE'S FUNERAL CHAPEL (664-3131).
