->Williams, Anne B.Anne B. "Lammie" Williams of Rye , NY on December 2, 2011. Loving wife of the late Thomas A Williams, mother, grandmother and sister. She is survived by her four children Thomas A. Williams Jr. ( Perrysburg , OH ), Laura W. Jodice (Central, SC), J. Carter Williams (St. Louis, MO), and David D. Williams (Racine, WI), six grandchildren J. Hunter Williams, Charles N. Williams, Noah P. Jodice, Anne F. Williams, Jennifer H. Williams, and Patrick H. Williams. She was a beloved sister and sister-in-law to Frank S. "Fritz" Bell ( Palm Beach, FL), Katherine B. Ryan (Naples, FL), Mari Mennel-Bell (Fort Lauderdale, FL), Howard H. "Terry" Williams (Washington, DC) and the late Marie B Cunningham, and devoted aunt to seventeen nieces and nephews. In recent years she shared much of her time with beloved friend Timothy James (New York, NY). Born December 20th, 1939 at Toledo Hospital, her childhood home and Midwest roots were in Perrysburg, OH . She was a 1957 graduate and committed alumna of Emma Willard School and a 1959 graduate of Briarcliff College, but also had close ties with her late husband's classmates at The Hotchkiss School ('55) and Yale ('59). She moved to Rye, NY with her husband in 1962 where she lived many happy years full of loving friends, family, and memories. Devoted to her community, she was a founding member of the 28th Twig, 40+ year volunteer of the Westchester (Buick/Barclays) Classic, past member of the Board of Managers and Board of Trustees for the United Hospital in Port Chester, NY, member and historian of the Rye Garden Club, and long time benefactor of the Rye Free Reading Room. During her childhood and throughout her life, she enjoyed canoeing and fishing with her family and friends in Grayling, MI on the Au Sable River, a second home where she became an avid supporter and benefactor to the Mercy Hospital. For more than 30 years, she also shared many happy memories skiing with family and friends in Stratton, VT where she also became a long time supporter of the Carlos Otis Clinic. Over the years, she cherished and loved her close friendships which she built, many through her volunteer activities and the American Yacht Club. She fostered these with her own special touch from her annual Christmas Cards to the "Special Drawing" in support of United Hospital. She was also a member of Apawamis Club and New York Yacht Club. A master of the New York Times Crossword puzzle, among many things, her wit and tenacity were infectious. Lammie will be very missed. Services will be held at the Rye Presbyterian Church in Rye , NY 10580 on her 72nd birthday December 20th 2011 at 10:30 AM . Memorial donations may be made to the Rye Free Reading Room ( Boston Post Road , Rye , NY 10580 ; 914-967-0480) or the Port Chester-Rye-Rye Brook Volunteer Ambulance Corps (417 Ellendale, Ave, Port Chester , NY 10573 ; 914-939-8112).
