Obituary of Anne Abbot

ABBOT, Anne Marie July 9, 1914 - June 15, 2007 Anne was a courageous and innovative woman who touched our lives in very special ways. She will be remembered as a tremendous role model as a women ahead of her time, a daughter, mother and most signifi-cantly an incredible grandmother. Anne was born in Chicago, Illinois and received a Bachelor of Education from DePaw University, she lived in Dallas, Texas from 1956 - 1994, then in Denver, Colorado.Anne is survived by two daughters; Sandra Newton of Dallas, Texas and Valerie (Bill) Bowlen of Edmonton; eight grandchildren; Julie Bowlen, Heather (Dave) Sproule, Michelle Bowlen, Bill Jr., Courtney Bowlen and husband Nathan Henry, Stephanie Bowlen, Eric (Sarah) Newton and Christopher Newton; three great grandchildren; Kaya Sproule, Brock and Preston Henry. Anne is predeceased by her brother; John Makutenas of Chicago, Ill. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, August 7, 2007 at 6:00 p.m. at Connelly-McKinley Funeral Home, 10011 - 114 Street, Edmonton.
