Obituary of Anna-Mary-Albanese Keenan

KEENAN, ANNA MARY "ANNIE" ALBANESE, 79, died Saturday, November 22, 2008 at Jewish Hospital. Annie's extraordinary faith, love and zest for life were obvious from the inside out and she was a beautiful ray of light to everyone who was blessed to know her. Annie was a founding member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church, actively involved in all aspects of parish life, employee of Willies Gift Shop at Executive Inn West, professional singer and dancer, performer for USO, past performing member of the Kentucky Opera Association, first runner-up Miss Louisville Pageant and graduate of the old St. Patrick Grade School and Presentation Academy. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Cecilia Keenan Craig; and her parents, Mary and Salvador Albanese. She is the beloved wife of 56 years of Thomas J. Keenan, funeral director; mother of Dr. Thomas Keenan IV (Tammy), Anne Mary Stakem (Jim) and Maria Berger (Todd); grandchildren, Thomas V, Anthony, Joey, Anna, Antonia and Abigail; and sister, Mary Pat Oerther (Michael). Annie's funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 1925 Lewiston Dr., with interment in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation: noon-8 p.m. Tuesday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church.
