-><!-- DisplayFullObituaryText -->Allen, Andrew RogerAndrew Roger Allen, 60, passed away suddenly on December 22, 2014 at his home in Patterson, NY. Andrew was the son of the late Victor and Jenny Allen, longtime residents of Pocantico Hills. Andrew was born in Peekskill, grew up in Croton Harmon and attended Goddard College and the San Francisco Art Institute where he specialized in fine point miniatures and developed an affinity for music. He worked in NYC engineering the Reggae show on WKCR, followed by a brief assignment in the Financial district and later returned to the suburbs where he provided security at several of the Historic Hudson Valley sites.Andrew had a keen wit, razor-sharp intelligence and the kindest of hearts. He was passionate about his love for music, art, baseball, friends, his felines, and life itself. He lived a very simple life and leaves behind a legacy.Andrew is survived by his brother Peter (Debbie) Allen and his niece Jessica (David) Brown. He also leaves behind his 2 beloved feline companions, Tuxedo and Mittens -- and a plethora of friends who will miss him dearly.A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 24th at The Vineyard Community Church, 609 Route 82, Hopewell Junction, NY @ 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the SPCA of Westchester (www.spca914.org).
